Welcome to JK Howling of Hendon where I'm currently blogging about the Hendon Hub Planning Applications.   

Yes, I know. It's hardly living the literary dream. But if you lived in Hendon right now, you might also be driven to such desperate measures.

Barnet Council are planning to regenerate the historic heart of Hendon in a scheme they call the Hendon Hub.  I call it an assault on our community because it’s been dreamed up entirely for the benefit of Middlesex University and the council but not the residents, even though we've footed the bill for its conception (£2.28 million paid to Capita and that was just up to March 2021). 

Residents have already been put through four consultations relating to these Hendon Hub plans this year and most of that was during lockdowns because we didn't have enough to be dealing with. 

The response from the public was overwhelmingly negative.  But the plans were still approved anyway.  This sort of thing keeps happening all over the borough.  Why?

Now Hendon residents have EIGHT Planning Applications and over 700 supplementary documents to respond to.

How many ways can we say no?
